2 Great Homemade Anniversary Gift Ideas With How-to\’s
Have you been looking for homemade anniversary gift ideas you can really make? I have taken the heavy lifting out by doing the research for you! I found there are plenty of homemade gift ideas around, but not all are really suitable for wedding anniversary presents.
Homemade gifts are to complicated and a bit tacky. I disagree and here is why. A homemade gift allows you to share a gift from the heart which no store bought gift can compare to. And even if you are not really a crafty person you can still triumph over the scissors and the glue-stick!
Well I did promise to show you homemade anniversary gifts that you (the craft challenged) can make! Here are two of my favorites, both are easy to make. As a bonus you probably already have the needed materials at home. If not the bits and bobs are quite inexpensive!
My favorite homemade anniversary gifts are – yummy bath salts and love messages in a jar. Both come under the \”gifts in a jar\” category. They are my favorites because they are easy to make, require no particular special skills and usually everything you need – you already have!
My all time favorite is bath salts in a jar. Lets face it – who doesn\’t love a gift of pampering? A trip to the spa isn\’t always an option. Except for possibly the glycerin (which is an optional ingredient anyway) you more than likely have all the needed ingredients at home. Bath salts are a great anniversary gift idea as they can be adapted easily, to make a different \”flavor\” just use a different essential oil! You could make lavender bath salts, citrus bath salts or any other essential oil that you like.
The second idea is romantic messages in a jar. This comes as a close second to bath salts as the best homemade anniversary gift idea. What you do is write 365 messages on little bits of paper, you enclose these in a nice looking jar. If you find it hard to think of what to say try looking for some love quotes or poetry to use.
Do your gifts well. This is the most important thing to remember. Make sure to present them well, don\’t let yourself down with a tacky presentation. Giving a gift in a sloppy, careless way is what makes people think homemade gifts are tacky. Don\’t give your gift a bad name!
Have fun with you homemade anniversary gift creating! Happy Anniversary!
